On 4 July, NZWA members, family and friends boarded My Fair Lady for a lunchtime trip on Regent’s canal. In perfect summer weather, we enjoyed a very relaxing cruise which took us along the most picturesque stretch of the canal.
We began at Walker’s Quay in Camden, then rose 2.5 metres in the lock at Camden before sailing through London Zoo, Regent’s Park and a short tunnel to Robert Browning’s Island at Little Venice. After a buffet lunch and wine, on our return journey from Little Venice, a commentary was provided which explained the history of the canal and sights along the way.
A very enjoyable time was had by all.
